It’s personal for me.
In District 10, from Powdersville to Piedmont, I’ve seen families rally: neighbors stepping in for kids, churches running youth programs, parents fighting for what’s right. But threats are real—child predators online, fentanyl sneaking into schools, abuse cases hitting close to home. We’ve had undercover busts nabbing dozens here, infants safely surrendered under Daniel’s Law, even teacher scandals shaking trust.
South Carolina’s stepping up: the Safe Schools Act of 2026 builds task forces, requires panic alerts, live drills, and audits so every classroom’s secure—no more soft spots for danger. Bills like 540 protect parents from overreach, saying raising kids consistent with their birth sex isn’t abuse. And that parent bill of rights? It gives moms and dads real say in education, health, and decisions—not bureaucrats.
I’ll push harder in Columbia: tougher trafficking penalties, more crisis centers for moms, easier adoption, fentanyl crackdowns with local sheriffs, and funding for mental health spots so no kid falls through cracks. Keep innocence safe, families strong—because when children thrive, our community does.
No excuses. No weakness. Pro-kids. Pro-parents. Pro-District 10 values
